What is Forest Bathing?

Forest bathing (from the Japanese practice Shinrin-yoku) is the simple act of immersing yourself in nature and mindfully engaging all your senses. Even a short guided forest walk can reduce stress, improve your mood, and boost your overall well-being. It’s not hiking or exercise – it’s about slowing down and savoring the environment around you. A seasonal journey for women 55+ navigating cancer or major life transition.

This nurturing 6-week nature therapy program offers gentle support for women who are walking through grief, change, or healing. Through forest-based rituals, reflective practices, and supportive community, PATH helps participants move from “getting through it” to finding grounded, purposeful presence — one step at a time.
