Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society was born from a lifelong passion for nature and a deep-seated belief in its healing power. Our journey began long before our official founding in 2024, rooted in decades of outdoor education and personal transformation.
For over 20 years, our founder, Molle Dorst, has been guiding individuals through nature's classroom. From the urban oasis of Toronto Islands to the vast wilderness of multi-week expeditions, Molle witnessed firsthand the profound impact that connecting with nature had on people's well-being.
As the world grew increasingly digital and disconnected from nature, Molle recognized a growing need for structured, accessible ways for people to reconnect with the natural world. Inspired by the emerging field of Forest Therapy and backed by a wealth of scientific research on nature's benefits, a vision began to take shape.
Determined to create a practice that combined scientific rigor with experiential wisdom, Molle embarked on a journey of continuous learning. Graduate certifications in Education, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Restorative Justice, Urban Environmental Education, and Youth Leadership Development provided a rich foundation for understanding human development and environmental connection.
Through years of guiding diverse groups in various natural settings, Molle developed the CANOE approach - a unique methodology that emphasizes Collaboration, Accessibility, Nuance, Openness, and Experience. This approach became the cornerstone of Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society's philosophy.
In 2024, armed with a wealth of experience, a solid educational foundation, and training as an ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, Molle took the leap and founded Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society. The practice was created with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and nature-based healing, making Forest Therapy accessible to all.
Since our founding, we've been on an exciting journey of growth and discovery. Every guided session, every participant's story, and every moment in nature continues to shape our practice. We're committed to evolving with our community's needs and the latest research in nature-based therapies.
At Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society, our story is still being written - with every forest bath, every deep breath of fresh air, and every moment of connection between humans and nature. We invite you to become part of our story and to write your own chapter of healing and discovery in the pages of the forest.
Molle Dorst's path to becoming a Forest Therapy guide is a tapestry woven with threads of lifelong learning, a passion for the outdoors, and a commitment to holistic well-being.
For over two decades, Molle has been a fixture in the outdoor education community. Her journey began on the waters of the Toronto Islands, where she taught canoeing and led paddle tours, introducing urban dwellers to the natural wonders hidden within the city. As her experience grew, so did the scope of her adventures, eventually leading multi-week wilderness trips that challenged participants to discover their inner strength and connection to nature.
Driven by a desire to understand the profound impact of nature on human well-being, Molle pursued a diverse educational path. Her academic journey has taken her through some of Canada's most respected institutions:
University of Calgary:
Graduate certifications in Education and Restorative Justice
York University:
Graduate certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution
Cornell University:
Graduate certification in Urban Environmental Education
Ryerson University:
Graduate certification in Youth Leadership Development
Queen's University:
Honours B.A in Sociology & Theology
University of Toronto:

Each of these programs added new dimensions to Molle's understanding of human development, conflict resolution, and the intricate relationship between people and their environment.
The convergence of Molle's extensive outdoor experience and her multidisciplinary education naturally led her to the field of Forest Therapy. Currently in training as an ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, Molle is at the forefront of this innovative approach to wellness.
Molle's approach to Forest Therapy is characterized by her ability to bridge scientific understanding with experiential practices. She brings a keen awareness of the nuances of sensory experience, a commitment to accessibility for all abilities, and a collaborative spirit that extends from her relationships with participants to her connection with the forest itself.
As the founder of Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society, Molle continues to evolve her practice, always seeking new ways to help people connect with nature and themselves. Her journey is ongoing, with each forest bath offering new insights and opportunities for growth.
Molle Dorst is more than a guide – she's a lifelong learner, an educator, and a passionate advocate for the healing power of nature. Through Project: ReWild + Forest Bathing Society, she invites others to join her on this transformative journey, one forest at a time.
